The governor of Imo state and chairman of the southeast governors’ forum, Hope Uzodinma has declared that no single person from the southwest of the Nigeria’s federation will join in the rumoured protest against president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government.

Hope Uzodinma made the remark in Abakalike, Ebonyi state capital during the All Progressive Congress (APC) final campaign rally ahead of local government election in the state.

He boasted that president Bola Ahmed Tinubu has the interest of the Igbos at heart and working tirelessly to end ongoing economic hardship in the country by ensuring food security, “releasing money” to the citizens, and building infrastructure.

He claimed that no Igbo person would join the speculated protest because Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government is “Ndi Igbo government” in which Ndi Igbo gains a lot from.

He appealed to the Igbo populace to disregard any appeal for protest from politicians whom he said do not mean well for Nigeria and are bent on destabilizing the country for their selfish political interest. According to him, those trying to sponsor protest against president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration which is “barely one year old” do not have their families in the country.

He explained that president Bola Ahmed Tinubu understand the concerns of Nigerians and working assiduously to ameliorate their suffering through his renewed hope agenda. He urged everyone to “have hope” and trust the Tinubu’s leadership which he said will deliver dividends of good leadership to Nigerians.
