“God win” crooner, Korede Bello has opened up on why he left Don Jazzy’s record label, Mavins through which the singer came into limelight in 2014.
Korede Bello and a crop of other Mavins record label signee dominated the Nigeria’s music industry in 2014 and a couple of years after.
However, from 2020–2021, the Mavins signees who at this point have established their names in the music industry, started to break tiers with the record label through which they came to public limelight.
For Korede Bello, he disclosed in his recent interview on Hip Tv that he left the Mavins record in 2021 because he felt like a product to make money and was treated as such by the Mavins record.
He explained that his decision to leave Mavins record was necessary because he wanted to explore other choices available to him which will resonate with him and give him inner satisfaction and value.
He further explained that he did not want to live his life in a competitive circle of struggling to make songs and seeking to be in the trending conversation time to time.
