Biafra Republic Government in Exile (BRGIE) lobbyist, Elias Gerasoulis announced a historic feat the Biafra restoration course attained at the international stage as the leadership of the BRGIE was invited and recognized at the US bipartisan presidential campaign dinner.

Through his X handle, Elias Gerasoulis revealed that Mr. Ogechukwu Nkere, the BRGIE minister of finance represented the defunct Biafra nation at the bipartisan campaign dinner in Washington.

“Ogechukwu Nkere, a prominent Biafran-American leader and Biafran Minister of Finance, had been invited to represent the Biafran-American community at an official U.S. Presidential campaign dinner, along with the leaders of various ethnic diaspora communities in the United States and senior dignitaries”, he wrote.

Elias Gerasoulis commenting on the importance of the event to the Biafra course described it as evidence of the rising popularity of the Biafra nation in the United States of America. He said it amounted to bipartisan recognition of the Biafra nation whose flag was displayed conspicuously at the event.

“This is the very first time that the Biafran-American community is being formally recognized and represented by the U.S. Presidential campaigns. As such, the Biafran flag had been proudly displayed at the dinner, amongst the flags of other recognized nations. This also demonstrates the increasing bipartisan, widespread, and mainstream political support for the Biafran cause in Washington, DC, and the political mobilization of the Biafran-American community. Congratulations to Mr. Nkere, for leading this historic moment”.
