The president of Biafra Republic Government in Exile, Simon Ekpa has forewarned president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s new minister of state for foreign affair, Bianca Ojukwu.
Simon Ekpa while reacting to a report by Sahara Reporters of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu swearing in Bianca Ojukwu and six other newly confirmed ministers, warmed her against working against the restoration of the Independent state of Biafra. According to Simon Ekpa, he would not antagonize the wife of the late Biafra warlord until she starts working against Biafra.
He said: ” waiting for her to go against Biafra first”.
Bianca Ojukwu whose late husband, Chukwuemeka Odumegu Ojokwu in 1967, led the old eastern region of the Nigeria’s federation into seceding from Nigeria federation over marginalization of the Igbos, had served as an ambassador of Nigeria to Ghana and Spain before her recent appointment.
While the demand for the restoration of the defunct Biafra nation remains undying among the Ndi Igbo in Nigeria, Nigeria’s authority have continued to stifle such an agitation.
In the renewed demand for Biafra’s restoration, Simon Ekpa, an erstwhile disciple of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, remains a prominent name. The Finnish based Biafra nation activist, has defiled every attempt by the Nigeria’s authority to extradite him amid report of his founding and financing a militia group unleashing mayhem on Nigeria’s armed forces in the southeast region.
Hence, president Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointing Bianca Ojukwu as minister of state for foreign affairs is perceived by many as a strategic attempt by the presidency to use the former beauty queen and wife of late Biafra warlord against Simon Ekpa and his likes.
There are speculations that Bianca Ojukwu would as the minister of state for foreign affairs carry out an international smear campaign against Simon Ekpa and others.
