Former associate to Peter Obi and campaign spokesperson of the Obidatti presidential campaign council, Kenneth Okonkwo has again reiterated his early stance of breaking ties with his former principal, Peter Obi.

In a podcast with Seun Okinbaloye, Kenneth Okonkwo aside criticizing president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, warned Peter Obi, president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar against contesting in the 2027 presidential election.

Kenneth Okonkwo while speaking on why Peter Obi whom he had supported his presidential ambition in 2023 should not contest again in 2027, noted that Peter Obi lacks the will to confront his political opponents in a radical manner rather than his usual civil and calm personality.

“Peter Obi is a man who appear rather too sweet for everyone and that is why they are licking him up”, Kenneth Okonkwo stated.

He thereafter emphatically stated that he would not want to associate politically with Peter Obi as he no longer believes in his style of leadership.

Recall that Kenneth Okonkwo had in an open letter revealed his decision to break ties with Peter Obi and the Labour Party. In his latest interview with Seun Okinbaloye, he noted that he is not leaving the Labour Party as his letter had suggested. According to him, he is determined to being involved in the rebuilding and repositioning of the Labour Party for the 2027 presidential election.
