Iconic Nigerian singer, Stanley Omah Didia widely known as Omah Lay has shared his prison experience and how it has transformed his life and given him a new perception of life and freedom.
While speaking in an interview with Amazon Music, the soso crooner reminisced his prison experience during COVID-19 lockdown. According to him, his brief imprisonment in Uganda made him treasure freedom and committed to fighting for it with his all his might.
Recall that Omah Lay and Tems were arrested in Uganda and charged to court during COVID-19 lockdown in Uganda. The duo were arrested ahead of their slated appearance at a music concert in Kampala. Following their arrest and appearance in court, they were detained and later granted bail three days after.
He explained that in as much as he would not praise the Ugandan authority for locking him up over the violation of COVID-19 lockdown, he believes that such an experience shifted his perspective about freedom.
