Nigerians online have called for the arrest of Adeolu Adeboye, one of the sons of pastor Enoch Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
Adeolu Adeboye is said to have been awarded an eight billion naira project by former governor Nasir El-Rufai whose administration’s spendings are being investigated by the Kaduna state Assembly. According to reports, the eight billion naira project awarded to Adeolu Adeboye was later revised and increased to N17.1 billion.
However, despite the revision done on the project which resulted in the contract funds increase, the project is said to have been abandoned by Adeolu Adeboye and his firms. Hence, his name features prominently among the contractors the Kaduna state Assembly seek to investigate over alleged abandonment of contract.
The development comes a few days after pastor Enoch Adeboye appealed to Nigerians to be tolerant and patient with the Nigeria’s leadership. He claimed that the myriad of challenges facing Nigeria can not be solved politically. According to him, Nigeria’s problems require spiritual solution as the Nigeria’s current leadership “is trying”.
Hence, the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) have been called upon to arrest and investigate pastor Enoch Adeboye’s son especially as he appears to be a beneficiary of bad governance in Nigeria.
