Nasir El-Rufai gives strange condition to swear on Quran if he stole Kaduna state money

Former governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai has revealed that he would swear on Quran if he ever stole Kaduna state funds while serving as a governor.

The former governor who faces investigation by the Kaduna state Assembly over allegation on his administration misappropriating 423 billion naira, during an interview in Hausa language on Freedom Radio station, said that he has keenly followed the development in the state especially allegation against him by the Kaduna state house of assembly.

He faulted the Kaduna state house of assembly, claiming that their actions against him is politically motivated. He disclosed that he has deep loyalty for the public and has never stolen money while in public office. According to him, he would swear on Quran if other past governors of Kaduna state would do same.

He further explained that he is content with what he has and did not go into public service to enrich himself but to serve the public selflessly.
