Burna boy has continued to face backlash from Nigerians online over his controversial stance on ongoing hunger protest in Nigeria.

Burna boy had appealed to the god of Ogun to punish whomever drags him into the ongoing hunger protest in Nigeria. The musician noted that he was done fighting for Nigerians with his involvement in the October 10th, 2020 EndSARS protest.

Consequently,  he is accused by some of his fans and followers including some notable Nigerian social media influencers of taking bribe from the Nigerian politicians so as to dampen the spirits of Nigerians demanding good leadership amid the rising economic hardship that has bedeviled the African nation.

In his response, Burna boy denied receiving bribe from any Nigerian politician. He insinuated that he was offered a piece of land by the former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike but that he rejected the offer outright. He boasted that he is not like other Nigerian musicians who can be bribed.

“No politician has ever given anything. Go ask wike where the land him give me or which money him give me. You think I’m your faves”, he tweeted.
