Burna boy issues stern warning to Nigerians over ongoing hunger protest

Prominent Nigerian hip hop singer and Grammy award winner, Burna boy has warned his followers and fans against dragging him into the ongoing hunger protest in Nigeria.

Burna boy through his X handle reminisced the October 10, 2020 EndSARS protest in Nigeria during which unarmed protesters were reported k!lled by security personnels deployed to quell the protest in Lagos.

Hence, Burna boy in his reaction to several calls to Nigerian celebrities to throw their weight behind the ongoing protest, revealed that he wouldn’t be involved in such as he did in 2020. He thereafter called for the intervention of a local deity in punishing whoever drags him into the ongoing remonstration in Nigeria.

Nigerians on 1st of August, 2024 took to the the street to protest against increasing economic hardship in Nigeria. The protest which took place in almost all the thirty six states of Nigeria including the federal capital territory, appeared quite peaceful in most of the  states. However, Kano state experienced some disruption from hoodlums who resorted to vandalization and looting of public facilities. Also, Borno state and Kaduna state recorded vi@lence in which police officers were reported to have shot and k1lled at least five unarmed protesters.
