Son of former governor of Kaduna State and a member of the House of Assembly, Bashir El-rufai has in a controversial tweet, warned president Tinubu and his political allies to be wary of Kano state.

Bashir El-rufai is understood to be referring to the ongoing tussle over the throne of the Kano Emirate especially as it is being speculated that president Tinubu is backing his political ally, the national chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) , Abdullahi Ganduje at the expense of the Kano state government backed Sanusi Lamido.

Bashir El-rufai in his characteristic controversial tweets, vaguely warmed those who have vested interest in Kano state to be wary; according to him, Kano state should not be mistaken for Edo state.

“If these ones think they can meddle in Kano, they will be in for a rude awakening. Kano is not Edo State”.

Reacting to his tweet, one @comrSasaco described Bashir El-rufai tweet as an empty threat . He reminded him how some members of his father’s cabinet including his chief of staff, Muhammad Basir Sa’idu are currently being prosecuted by the Tinubu’s administration without any form of resistance from anyone.

“Empty threats as usual, they are currently meddling with Elrufai’s team in Kaduna and nobody could stop them”.

Bashir El-rufai while responding to ComrSasaco remark, urged those who are “meddling with” the members of his father’s cabinet to dare “meddle with” his father, Nasir El-rufai.

He wrote: “Let them meddle with El-Rufai himself na”
