Popular Nigerian televangelist and founder of the Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman has explained why Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ on 25th of Decembers even though Christ was not born on the said date.

The popular preacher who was born into a Muslim home and had inherited Islam before converting to Christianity and becoming a gospel preacher, wrote on his X handle that it is right for believers of Jesus Christ to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ on the 25th of Decembers whether or not He was born on the said day and month.

He said Christmas does not actually imply Christ birthday but a commemoration of His birth.

Apostle Johnson Suleman thereafter urged those who are commemorating Jesus Christ’s birth to do so in love and care for others.

He wrote: Whilst it’s a dispute amongst theologians that Christ was not born Dec 25th,they can’t deny the fact the he was Born..

We are not celebrating the birthDAY of Christ but commemorating his birth..
It is CHRISTMAS DAY.

“Show someone love, give someone a shoulder and let love lead..”
